Oprah Winfrey Broiled In School Controversy

One of the latest topics on the lips of everyone involves the latest scandal that talk show maven Oprah Winfrey is the center of.   Oprah herself has stated, "I am shocked to my very core over the allegations," and has started a massive campaign to clean up the allegations of abuse at her academy in South Africa. 

Oprah's chart is currently lit up like a Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, as these allegations bring up deep traumatic psychological issues of her own.    This, in addition, to many critics currently lampooning her South African school recent opening in January are bringing up many frustrations from her past and will paint her future activities into the future.

The most notable aspect currently going on in her chart, is transiting Saturn (planet of responsibility) transiting her Ascendant?  The Ascendant in a horoscope is your path in life, your direction, the road that you walk down through your personal journey.   The ruler, Mercury is in the service oriented 6^th house and also rules her 10^th house of career.   This strongly reflects who Oprah is up to this day!  She is not known for her relationships, and even her position as the world's most influential female is often clouded by her deeds of helping and assisting others in their day to day lives (6^th house).   This is mostly seen through her Angel Network, her frequent giveaways on her talk show and her recent opening of Oprah Winfrey Academy in South Africa.  She feels most comfortable when she is at service to others.  In addition, Saturn is inconjunct (adjustments) her Sun (identity) and Venus (popularity).  

The Sun and Venus combination in Aquarius shows that Winfrey is very concerned with how she is perceived by the public at large, and this dovetails into Chiron's (wounds) transiting by conjunction this same location.  Chiron is our wounds, it is the place in the horoscope that forces us to understand and learn something on a deep level in order to be able to heal it internally.   Chiron's transits over personal planets bring out the areas in which we are wounded by those planets.   So, in essence, Winfrey is not only dealing with the trauma of protecting her young, yet also the incurable wound of her being abused as a child. 

Further, transiting Mars is currently in her 11^th house, and about to go retrograde.   The 11^th house of groups and organizations strongly reflects the issues of concern that will continue to plague Winfrey over the next several months.   The media, which has dumped Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears for this new story, will be further investigating the school, and its establishment, and Winfrey will find herself often defending the choices that she has made.   Expect to see enormous focus on her and her school as we move through the next several months, including further allegations of abuse, and possible legal issues coming forth.   On the psychic level, I feel that 2 sets of parents will come forward and begin legal proceedings against Winfrey seeking a financial settlement for pain and suffering that their child has experienced.   However, protective Jupiter is not only in her 10^th house of career natally, yet is currently transiting this position, giving Winfrey personal protection from an American public which will sympathize with her, and once again the aspects of her life will be 'clouded', because of her chart ruler being in the 6^th, and her always being there to serve when needed.
